We have just come to the end of an interesting stage of this year. We are back living alone in our home for the first time in over five months. First our son stayed with us – a three week stay while his flat purchase went through, that turned into a three month stay. Then we had a visitor from Finland with us for two months.
It has been pleasant having visitors, but I am enjoying being back to normal for a while now. It is nice to feel relaxed in the way that it isn’t possible to relax when you have visitors. It is like going home after being on holiday. It is lovely to be away and enjoy a little bit of a different life for a while, but it is always nice to get back home.
M from Finland will probably stay with us for a while next year and that will be lovely. We will look forward to that.
