Last Saturday we attended evensong at Llandaf Cathedral at the invitation of Aled Edwards (right above) who was being installed as a Canon. It was both a strange and a delightful experience. Strange because a Christian service has a quite alien approach to spirituality in some ways for a Buddhist. Delightful because of the warmth that was expressed between the archbishop, the congregation and others taking part in the service for the Canons being installed (7 of them).
We have come to know Aled through our involvement with the Interfaith Council of Wales and value his friendship greatly.
This service was the first time that I had used the induction loop setting on my hearing aid. This was fantastic. It was like the speakers were right next to me and I could hear everything as clear as a bell.
