Animating the sense fields

Engaging in art—any art—changes our relationship with the world. The two artistic projects I have taken on this year are having interesting effects on my view of my environment. Everything is a potential Blipfoto and I notice things that would have passed me by before I started taking a photograph every day. The Documented Life Project challenge for this week is to make a collage of recycling. Suddenly the items I was putting in the recycling bin were potential material for artwork. I noticed the graphics on leaflets and colours and shapes. I was about to deconstruct a box and fold it up for the green bag, when I realised that it had a most interesting design on one side.

My visual sense is more animated and alive – only four more physical sense fields to expand!
